I may have not seen the thread on this if there is one so if there is I apologise. When I click on the icon at the end of the last posters name on a thread it always takes me to the first posting on the last page can anyone tell me if it is my settings on the forum or does this happen to everyone,:confused:, many thanks for any help. :spin:

And when I click on 'first unread' I go sailing off into the blue unknown, usually several posts beyond the ones I've read. Just a comment, not a grumble, just happy to have this Forum to read!

i think ie google toolbar, not really sure i am not that good with computers, how would i find out?:ashamed::DWhat icon do you click on to open the internet? is it a blue 'e'? Is it a red and blue circle, an 'O', or a red green and yellow circle with a blue dot in the middle?

If it's none of those, do you use an apple mac?

Again... I don't have this problem. What browser are you using? If we find a common factor with these problems, at least we know where to start looking, otherwise we can't fix it, because we have no information. :)

Ok... well if there are more Firefox users that also say it's ok, we can rule that one out :) Also... any other chrome users would help with feedback :)

I expect it's the operator at this end, Max! Too many barraquitos making the fingers tremble. It's only annoying when the threads are very long.

It is a problem with IE which only takes you to the top of the last page. It's fine on Chrome though.

It's your choice, however IE is generally considered the worst of all the browsers. It tends to be slower and the security is not as good.

You can do it from the Google website. It takes a bit of getting used to from IE but you'll see a difference. Tip: untick the box that asks if you want the google toolbar when it asks you.

Why not try Firefox?

I've used 'em all and gone back to Mozilla Firefox every time.

So easy to use, compatible, great screens, fab add ons...Simply the best.

Whenever I use another computer, however well set up, everything pales next to my Fox..

Nope, tried that and didn't like it either. But the technical police (my friend S) did all sorts of clever things on here and installed Safari which is just great. As for not going to the last read etc., honestly doesn't bother me at all. Except on the illegal lettings thread because you really need to keep up to speed on that one.

It's also a completely different version of vbulletin... Far more up to date... from the old forum and each version needs to be tested with all browsers, so it could be the browser, it could be a conflict with os, it could be anything, hence the need for more information. Without such, it's not really useful to speculate. :)

First, we're trying to establish the common factors, then we can narrow it down.

A question, since I changed the setting, have you cleared your cache? If not, there may still be chance that it could have made the difference, because you may be looking at a cached version of the site. In effect, it may even take a day or two to work for everyone, so I would appreciate reports from anyone that pops on this thread in order to get a good cross-section of replies.

If you could post your browser and operating system too if you have that info it'd be helpful.

Ta. :)

It's going to be a problem caused by your avatar. If you change it to a Man Utd one you'll have no more problems..:)
