Today saw signs of overnight Heavy Rain, with water still draining,

even though the Ground generally was dry, so ditto to Wigan etc.

It's also been windy here, which has knocked the Plants about quite a bit...

How about You Santiago, Head above Water Yet.?

A mixed few days for us down here. Have friends staying in their touring caravan and they thought their awning was going to take off - and them with it. Day before yesterday I was trying to get the sheets in when it started to rain, and a huge gust of wind literally took me off my feet while I was clutching a big kingsize sheet. For a couple of moments I was airborne and had visions of landing in Sal's front garden!!
Yesterday we had some rain although I went with my friend to Truro to go shopping and it wasn't too bad there (although we wouldn't have noticed anything while we had our traditional two hour lunch!). However, the drive home was in torrential rain with lights on and the wipers going full blast.
Today has been better and I have been able to get the washing out and dry in a very short time as we have had sunshine and gales again!! Top temp today 15C but the wind is still jolly cold.

Yesterday started well but by the afternoon we had thunderstorms and heavy rain. Today has been lovely and sunny but with a very cold north west wind. Top temp 16.7C. Snow in Bodmin yesterday, so they say, but didn't see any out here on the coast - only hailstones!!

:feret::feret: my day started with rain at 2.30 am this morning, then it was showery most of the way to Wisbech. it cleared and turned into a warm 20 degree C . I feel like a proper weather presenter now i have told what weather we have had. at the momement in the hamlet here in Yorkshire it is 19 degrees c and still overcast, but i did use the air con in the car to cool down a little.

Another day of unending sunshine - I could get used to this!! Top temp 17.8C and a much lighter breeze today although it still comes from the north and is freezing!!

Lands End airport has been moved, warbs, as the original site was sold to Sainsbury's!! Newquay airport is owned by Cornwall Council and ultimately by the Cornish taxpayers. I wouldn't mid supporting the airport if only there were flights to places I wanted to go. However, I think it is being run as a luxury for businessmen and politicians - but that is only a personal observation.

Last couple of days have been warm and sunny and the OH has been cutting his silage. Unfortunately this bring on the hay fever that I have only contracted over the last few years. Stonkingly hot after the last six months so the OH and I went to Mevagissey (I wanted a new handbag and there is a superb leather shop there!). Lovely sea breezes over that side and a bit of heat haze over here when we got back. Top temp here was 25.9C - lovely!

A real stinker here today - blazing hot and only a little breeze! Got a puncture in my offside front tyre so sweated away watching the OH remove it and put on one of those silly little emergency wheels. Now my car keeps telling me to check my tyre pressures!!

According to our weather man we only have one more day of sunshine then cloudy on Monday and showers on Tuesday!! Top temp here today was 26.3C and climbing!

Not posted for a while, the building work has taken priority I'm afraid.
My pc is boxed so have to spy my chance on the OH's laptop, when I can.
Hope I find you all well and enjoying this rare bout of good weather.
As some other members have mentioned, a shower of rain is forecast for later but hopefully this weather will continue for the rest of the week.
The roof will be on the extension by then and all will be watertight.
No football for a while but I'll be listening to RTE radio at 4pm, Tipperary play Limerick in the Munster Hurling Championship Semi Final. #UpTipp

Rained this morning and probably more to come.
It's also considerably cooler as you would expect.
Yesterday was RSJ fitting day and today the roof construction has begun.
This 20% VAT is a bugger, it doesn't half jack up costs. :crying2:

It's about as far as you can go on the mainland without falling over the edge. 'Bout 50 miles away from us and they can get some nasty weather down there but I think it has all moved off now.

Roof on Double M, what a busy week it was.
Last week, internal shuttering, Acro's & Strong Boys placed, 2 x 4.8 metre RSJ beams fitted, knocked through and then the roof constructed, including 2 x 780mm x 1140mm Velux windows. New kitchen window and Bifold doors due next Monday, then the shuttering can come down.
1st fit organised and kitchen design ongoing...........nightmare, so much choice and more importantly different levels of quality.

I went to TOTO 99 country in County Warrington last Saturday, the OH wanted to look at Ikea's range.
I thought it was rubbish, so that's another of the list. Plus the place is a pain because you can't just walk in and go to kitchens, you have to do a route march all round the place, getting out was worse............rant over but never again.

Anyway I'd better get on topic or slodgedad will jaw at me.
The current weather is overcast but I don't think it will rain. The internet says its 25°C at the moment but it feels cooler to me.

Thank you all for your best wishes it's hard after losing a parent always so much to sort and all the memories even tho it was a while ago, but all fine, or it will be.

Our weather today was dull this morning and sunny this afternoon and I nearly took off on my washing line. It's one of those whirly ones like they have at places like Alton Towers, and my watch snagged on a tea towel just as the wind blasted across the garden. Took me right orf my feet, it did!!! Top temp today was 17.5C and strongest gust was 36mph (58kph). Forecast is good for the coming week!!

A nice fairly sunny day once the cloud burnt off. Spent most of the day in Truro with a friend from the Midlands where we made our very best efforts to remove all the merchandise from every shop! Top temp at home 21.3C and maybe a little lower further west.

Been a very wet couple of days here, started raining yesterday lunchtime and it's been at it on and off since. Never got light proper today, had to put the big light on to read the paper. :newspaper: Hope it brightens up tomorrow for Armed Forces Day.

Decent looking morning here,dry and clear 9 degrees after some heavy showers yesterday
Our plants are starting to bounce too warbey but no fuchsias flowering yet (weeks late)
Retail therapy and coffee morning today so weather not really matter

Yes and the weather was rough in Queensferry yesterday. but today looks like a day to get the car polish out and rub and rub till it ......
So off i go to the garage , must look after the :feret::feret::feret:
i have come up with a cunning plan can help to polish :caravan::caravan:
