Decent looking morning here,dry and clear 9 degrees after some heavy showers yesterday
Our plants are starting to bounce too warbey but no fuchsias flowering yet (weeks late)
Retail therapy and coffee morning today so weather not really matter
I bought in about ten Fuschias in bits and pieces this Year.
They have been in flower for about three weeks, except for One Laggard
that refuses to open it's Buds to date..
This warm/ish damp weather has helped them flourish..
Weather is around 20 at present.
o.H. had Her Hair done in Queensferry today. I sat in the Car reading the Daily Paper..
Windows open as it was so Hot..

Hi macdonald5, The Queensferry in question is the ancient crossing from North Wales to the Wirral Peninsula.
I once paid a Visit to see a Lassie in Dundee. I noticed the Queensferry You mean, south of the Tay Bridge if I remember correctly.
I was a Landscape Gardener for a fwe Years, so like Plants and Gardens in General.

Happy Monday all ,my OH birthday so waiting on fire brigade when he lights the candles !!

The sun was out here first thing, but went in as soon as I hung the washing out. Gone very dull now with a stiff breeze. 60°F

Warm down here but a little cool in the breeze. Top temp only 22.3C although the car gauge showed 31C but it was parked in the sun and out of the breeze!
Changeover day for me so pretty busy but all quiet on the western front now! Have been offline for a couple or so days as my router died a messy death and was buried - in the rubbish bin - one I had bought a new one. The new one, of course, wouldn't work and many a happy hour was spent on the telephone trying to get it all sorted out. A very nice lady of eastern origin got most of it going and a quick call to Yorkshire to those lovely people at Plusnet, solved the rest of the problems, so it is all systems go now.

Hot, hot, hot - and that was only the motor racing!! Top temp today 25.9C - probably because we had a bit of cloud earlier on. It's still 18C now!! I hope it goes on for a week or several, but not too long or we'll be back to the hosepipe bans again!

Weather in Cornwall has been very hot and quite sticky. Methinks it could all end in a thunderstorm!! Top temp here today 29.2C although the car thermometer was showing 35C at one time - bit it was parked in the sun!! Enjoy it while it lasts everyone!!!!!

Beautiful sun and hot 27 degrees,saw Scotland got highest temps in Britain today
Downside being lots of trains cancelled due to rails temperatures reaching over 40 degrees ,big delays at Edinburgh
Still hot and bit muggy 19 degrees now
Can't complain though after recent non summers

Hot and sunny again today with barely a cloud in the sky. However, the breeze was a little stronger today which tempered the heat a little. Top temp here was 27.1.
Bit more cloud about today but it still topped 80°F for the third day running, not complaining though.

so so hot here after a bit more welcome cloud this morning. Had to go to the funeral of my near neighbour this morning .......never pleasant at the best of times and the sun stayed away until after the burial.

All the doors and windows open and it's still hot! Top temp today 30.8C (87.4 for the intelligentsia!) and it's still 17.3C (63.0F) now.
Sorry Malty Mo but no washing today for me as I am beginning to run out. washed all the bedroom curtains yesterday and they were dry in moments. Might shampoo the carpets tomorrow!!!!!!!

Afternoon all. :tiphat:
Roof on Double M, what a busy week it was.
Last week, internal shuttering, Acro's & Strong Boys placed, 2 x 4.8 metre RSJ beams fitted, knocked through and then the roof constructed, including 2 x 780mm x 1140mm Velux windows. New kitchen window and Bifold doors due next Monday, then the shuttering can come down.
1st fit organised and kitchen design ongoing...........nightmare, so much choice and more importantly different levels of quality.
I went to TOTO 99 country in County Warrington last Saturday, the OH wanted to look at Ikea's range.
I thought it was rubbish, so that's another of the list. Plus the place is a pain because you can't just walk in and go to kitchens, you have to do a route march all round the place, getting out was worse............rant over but never again.
Anyway I'd better get on topic or slodgedad will jaw at me.
The current weather is overcast but I don't think it will rain. The internet says its 25°C at the moment but it feels cooler to me.

We are down South just outside London and its not that hot. The sun is hot but the air is cool.
Just back from Tenerife. Back at end of summer for the duration of the winter. Best of both worlds.

Blinds are for Windows melm. Yorkshire to Flintshire is quite a way, even over the E.U. Trunk Route....

I think you deserve some decent weather up there. We have stunning hot sunny days at the moment. Top temp today 26.2C (79.2F). A little cloud today which was very welcome.

Yes. After I had done the ironing for the weekend changeover I sat in a chair for half an hour and fell asleep. Unfortunately I had my sunglasses on and now look like an owl - so it's out with the fake tan to fill in the blanks!!!!!

yep its hot...they have issued heat warnings!! if you regularly go abroad the warnings are a bit over the top, and even if you don't get abroad...its still over the top...its 1 day!!! stay indoors if you cant handle it! phew..where's me water!

Well yesterday with a top temp of 29.5C (85.1) although the car, which was parked in the sun, registered 38C!! Today has started cloudy, thank goodness, but it's still nice and warm and it is only coastal cloud until the tide goes out!

Turned out hot again yesterday but cooler than previously with a high of 26.4C (79.5F). Hot and sunny again today with a high so far of 25C (77F).
Cracking the slabs here as they say. Work started at 7.30 this morning to resurface our road and pavements so trapped in the back garden today...:hole:

Max temp actually reached 30.8C (87.4F) and it was hot, hot, hot. Had to go to the bank and it was so nice I nearly went and bought a paper so I could sit there for an hour under their air conditioning! Sadly I then had to come back and do some ironing so I was really no better off!!!

Weather here today was very hot with a high of 32.6C (90.7F) in the garden and not much lower anywhere else. The car was registering 38C where it was parked in the sun and felt like it when I got inside!! Enjoy it everyone, it can't last forever!!

Chester always has better weather than Oldham, that's why they pay more council tax than we do. :D

Funnily enough the wind has picked up here the trees are blowing outside - still sunny
:feret:Its been raining on and off , I suppose its good for the roses. It will make a more outstanding display at the rose covered cottage next to the post office, pub, church here in the tiny hamlet near the stream, lake and forrest.:flatcap:

Some showers on and off so the washing is being finished in the crumple dryer!! Some of the showers have been pretty heavy but they don't last long so it's not been too bad a day. Top temp today was 21.7C (71.1F) but the grass is just about beginning to turn green!

We had a storm a couple of hours ago in the tiny hamlet and the drain is clogged up now got an inch of standing water near the post office. I say storm 2 claps of thunder and one lightning flash it made the :feret::feret::feret::feret: Jump.

Rain? What rain? Can we have some, we are getting desperate, even the blackbirds are still hanging round the garden when they are normally orf digging up worms in the fields.
Top temp today 22.7C (72.9F). Nice man has collected my overheating desktop computer, so am on the laptop tonight!
