Had quite a lot of sun today and a couple of hail/sleet showers. Chilly though - top temp 7.7C (45.9F) and the wind has quietened down from gusts of 58mph yesterday to 22mph today!
Overcast here but not s lot of Rain, or wind...
Temp around 6.
Still high Tides, and cooler Forecast.
Very little of the Cold Stuff this Year so far.....?
Showers all Day. Overcastoo
Aberystwyth Prom was washed away Yesterday. More to come.
Floods everywhere with more Rain expected to make it worse.

Saw pictures of the prom on tv. Looked quite serious. Not too much of that down here. Today it hasn't been windy until this evening and it was also only drizzling until about teatime. Still relatively warm with a top temp of 12.1C (53.8F) and 15.41mm of rain - so far!

A bit breezy again today and a mixture of sunshine and showers. Still pretty warm though so can't complain. Top temp 11.2C (52.2F) and 7.7C overnight with only 10mm's of rain.
Eye still the same, warbs, as haven't yet had the scan on it - still awaiting an appointment, I expect the specialist has gone to the Bahamas for Christmas!
Hope everyone over here is okay and keeping warm and dry!!

After a really lovely day yesterday when I went shopping and had a nice long coffee session with one of my caravanners, today has been a complete let down. Drizzly rain most of the day since lunchtime although the wind has managed to die down, thank goodness. Top temp here today was 10.8C (51.4F) so not really cold - just miserable.

Absolutely fabulously sunny day today so went to see my sister in the western reaches of Devon (passports at the border) to exchange Christmas presents. She gave us two toy remote controlled helicopters so keep your eyes peeled skywards I could be dropping on you! Top temp here today was 9.1C (48.4F) and we had sunshine from dawn to dusk. The evening sunsets are now 22 minutes later than the shortest afternoon on 13th December, and the morning sunrise is one minute earlier than the shortest morning on 8th January. We are on our way to longer days folks - the worst is over!!

Okay, maybe you're right. I really meant that each day it's going to be lighter a little longer, although because it's been raining since lunchtime here I don't particularly want to be able to see it anyway!

Ferrets OK, Looks like they've exhausted the local rabbit population. Lots of bulbs popped on your Xmas lights but as it's after the 6th Jan I switched them off.;)

I managed to Vacuum and clean inside Our Car this Afternoon.
Washed the Outside and left the Rain which then started, to Rinse it off.
Warm enough not to suffer with chilly fingers......

Not a million miles from you mate. Not far from jobs we've done in Summerhill and Brymbo. It's right in the Wrexham sticks that's for sure.

Here I am!! So sorry, Have been manic with end of month accounts, end of year accounts and my tax return, plus caravan bookings, BT cutting me off for a week until yesterday, and then woke up this morning to find a tree across the driveway. Is that enough to get me re-initiated into the weather report?
Not too bad here, sun shining at the moment. 20mm of rain since last evening and top temp 9.4C (48.9F). Hope everyone is okay and not blown or washed away!!

No, warbs, no damage, except to the tree!! The OH's nephew has been trimming back the Leylandii's in the caravan park and this was behind one of them. The tree was dead but the ivy had grown up the trunk and spread out at the top. We had gusts of wind yesterday up to 61mph and again today of 58mph so I guess it just couldn't stand the strain. The nephew came and despatched it in about half an hour and another nephew carried it away - apart from the logs which we have been using on the fire or stacking in the shed.

Same here although not quite as good the further west we went - Truro!! Still, it stayed nice enough all day to get the washing dry which was all that mattered. Top temp today 10.4C (50.7F) and still around 4C at night. Wind still up around 40mph every so often but will probably be stronger overnight. Not much rain.

Yep, we too have had a horrible day. We did go to the beach and filmed the rough sea but I don't think it will load on here, only on Facebook!
Wind has been a pretty steady 55mph for most of the day and when we went to the beach we had a terrific downpour for about an hour.
Top temp today 9.0C (48.2F) and the barometer has now been at around 980+ for the last three days.

Was a bitter cold day on the north east coast. Grey and windy then about 4 pm it started to drizzle which only added to the misery.
In all fairness though winter this year has not been bad at all. No snow and only one frost. My geraniums are still alive and actually growing, I don't remember that before.
Only 17 days to sunshine though.
M heart goes out to anyone in Somerset . We are actually travelling to s Wales next week.

Things will look very bright at first but, hopefully, it will all settle down in a couple of days.I have had problems since my cataract operation and now have to have another op with only an 80% chance of success. Also other eye is going to be the same!! Guess I upset someone upstairs at some time!

Right I can see what I'm doing this morning, the problem yesterday was the plastic shield that they put over my eye after the op prevented me from wearing my glasses (varifocals) so I was struggling. Feels a lot better this morning. Thanks for all your best wishes. Sorry to hear that things haven't gone to plan Santiago. Hope they sort it out for you.
Now to get back on topic we had some snow around tea time, not a lot, just a covering, gone this morning and it's been raining. Just watching the news and they've upgraded todays storm to a RED warning as they are expecting winds 90-100 mph. :help:

I have been into the village for supplies, My goodness aren't the bottles of red expensive,I spoke with with missus Ramsbottom in the Post office and she brought me uptodate with the village gossip, she said she was surprised to see me after all it was snowing when we came into land at Yeadon Airport last night.But we have had no snow in the village in my absence. so it was wet with temp of 3 degrees this morning. :flatcap:

Sun now shining after about 14mm's of rain fell overnight. Wind here gusting to about 60mph. Max temp to day 9.4C (48.9F). High tide at about 4.15pm with a predicted height of 6.5 metres which is only half a metre lower than the Spring tides last week!!! Could be interesting!

School Pickup was cold and wet. Temp was 7 though.
Nearly all Trains in the Region are either cancelled or stuck with Trees and debris on the Tracks.
Wind speeds were 80's back of Rhyl and 90's at Hawarden-Queensferry
Currently there are many Houses with no Electricity around Wales..
At Least being in this Region may spare those poor Folk down Sarth.....

A lovely sunny day here with a nice breeze. A couple of showers, but nothing much to speak of. Cleaned out the road ditch to stop the water running down our drive - what do we pay the council for? Last time they cleaned it they just piled the mess on top of the bank and the rain washed it straight back in again!! Top temp 10.9C (51.6F)

to prepare for the Next Lot shortly.

Rainy here too but it seems to be improving and it's definitely warming up a bit. Looking at the forecast it could be 10 degrees by Thursday....positively roasting.....
