Btw the Ecb reduced interest rates so as the Euro would fall. This will give a better price for exporters and hopefully increase production and therefore jobs in the Eurozone.
Btw 2 Meyrill Lynch and other finanancial institutions have been in Dublin negotiating for weeks, as they are preparing for a Tory withdrawal from the EU in the next parliament if Camerons euro sceptics get their way, or this Parliament if Boris gets his way.
Either way they'll be looking for a base location that is IN the EU and prefarably IN the Eurozone.

Ah the good old cut and paste method of posting.....now tell us what it all means!

Brilliant sunny day here on the West Coast.

There's nothing to explain. Its self explanatory. The Tory attitude to the EU is starting to destabilise the Financial Services sector already. Five more years of Tory rule will see Scotland outta the EU whether they like it or not.
What would the consequences of that be? Nobody knows or seems to care...untill it might be toooo late. People seem more like they are more interested in 'I hate Alex....or Sturg' ......etc than working out what's really relevent to their future. All countries are competing for Foreign Direct Investment, including Ireland. We'd have an advantage, if Scotland stayed in uk, when picking up the businesses that are in London because of EU membership.
Btw I didnt copy and paste anything.
From a bright sunny with fluffy Dublin.

Well Mr Baker, you are a extremely intelligent man:p,
Please don't prejudge us by thinking we just detest Salmond and his policies, we are voting NO for the survival of a prosperous and economically sound United Kingdom.....
Detesting the low-life is just a secondary advantage of our integence!

Now back at the Rose covered cottage , What wonderful weather. Nowt like Tenerife. But hey ho. :flatcap::feret::feret::feret:

A chilly start for most places with some mist around. This will clear to leave a fine day with some good spells of sunshine. Cloud will tend to develop during the day but with light winds it should feel pleasant. Maximum Temperature 18C.

Pleasant they say . I'm all wrapped up in my thermals.

Evening all :tiphat:

It's a beautiful bright sunny evening here in Wigan. :sunny:

Thinking of booking the Holtel Vulcano or Bitacora because they are close to Los Cristianos.
What do you think?
Anybody any other recommendations?

Prefer to go self catering but having brushed up on the illegal lettings thread, it looks like options are limited.
I don't think the complexes offered by the main holiday companies are much cop.

What I want to know is who's gonna clean up all the broken glass in Glasgow....cause they certainly BOTTLED it and only got 70% ish of the voters out, in a city where they had great support.

Anyway if you're happy with the result then Congratulations again.

The Irish govt (Fine Gael and Lab coalition) are the main winners from yesterdays vote.
They have achieved a growth rate of over 5% for this year so far and may be on target for 9% by years end. The one MAJOR Banana skin that could have derailed re election was, a new Independent Scottish govt. with new embassies open all over the world canvassing for FDI.

With the Fianna Fail opposition party in tatters and no parliamentry seats in Dublin (like the tories in Scotland 1 ) the rest are some Sinn Feiners and a truck load of independents. We'll now have a bit of an easy budget in October, with a giveaway budget next year followed by re election in 2016.

This will leave them in power for the 100 year anniversary of 1916 Rising.

This was the start of the end of BRITISH RULE in the (now) Republic of Ireland.

How about them apples?? ;):)

Have you considered a topic about Ireland and Irish Politics? I would be interested as my Daughter and three of my Grandchildren live in Ireland. They have resided in County Cork and now County Laois. I do read the Irish Newspapers but it would be good to get some further insight.

That's a good suggestion, a thread about Ireland!

I have only been a couple of times, both times to Dublin, once on a business trip and the other for a short three day holiday.
Ireland appears to be a lovely country and it's history and politics are a subject that's unique and would be interesting to discuss...I'm sure there are many members on the forum who fed up listening about Wales, England and Scotland....
Go on kingbaker give it a go. :-)

There might be a few Irish jokes included in the banter.:devil2:

You've got to let us men live our dreams, even just for a few seconds......before we end up in intensive care from "actual bodily harm" inflicted by our wives.

Still sunny and warm in Ayrshire and lots of children building sand castles down the coast at Ayr.
