Whilst on this subject - who invented these new boiler !!! Supposed to run on gas however if there is a power cut - the ignition won't light so no heating ! Not even some kind of battery backup

Must have been a geezer !

Phoned to be told we needed new parts and they would have to be ordered.:redcard: We had a very old boiler in our house that never broke down. However 5 years ago we foolishly decided to upgrade. In five years this is the second time it has broken down. The old ones are the best and the engineer agreed with me. Now left with no heating until who knows when and its really cold here:cry:

In a word Frozen! We have a dry start to the day with a bit of sunshine. What a difference to yesterday (at the moment). If the sun stays out at least my conservatory will heat up nicely and that will be a bonus. Still no heating and no hot water.

Going down south for the weekend and I don't think the weather forecast is too good. At least my son will have his heating on if necessary.

Better late than never I suppose. Have been out and about exploring the Cotswolds pretty villages. Overnight rain here cleared away to leave us with a pleasant mild day. The rain came on again on our way home but has gone off now and looks like we are in for a dry mild evening:hi:
