we have just spent £6000 on a new patio and £1600 on rattan furniture . £500 on a new plastic shed because i can't be bothered with painting one. and about £500 on garden lighting. and all we have done is stored the unopened rattan in the plastic shed. we haven't spent an hour up the garden in over a month.and we have got a carpenter coming in a few weeks to build the £2000 gazebo:(. great british weather:(

Hey Ted, why did it only last 9 years? Did you do damage to it?


They gave me an all metal one (metal on metal), at the time they said it would last longer but over the last 2-3 years they've discovered that the one I've got is causing very high levels of cobalt and chromium in my blood, so they're going to swop it for a ceramic one. It's my right hip they're doing but it's the left one that gives me pain. Hey Ho.

Hope you enjoyed your time in Tenerife. We should be in Malta at the moment, we let our next door neighbour and her friend have the accommodation and managed to transfer our flights to them, at a cost. Missed two holidays now, still we haven't done so bad over the last 25 years so shouldn't grumble.

Sun is desperate to break through and it's drying up nicely after our deluge overnight...Currently 12 degrees on the beach in Warrington.

We've been to the awfully nice Winston pub in Salford....a better class of mass murderer in there....:laugh:..
