We've got one of those indesit models that can catch fire if you don't clean the fluff from the filter, which we always do, so never had a problem. Hotpoint say they'll modify it in March OR we can have new one for £59.........No brainer

Assuming it was acquired legitimately ( don't worry, we've all done it )...if you know what it is just Google the make, model and the words "serial number". ...I'm sure the answer will be there as to where to find it....:tiphat:

Hi MaltyM, ours is one of the 'suspect' model dryers but we do have the model number and serial number on metal part near hinge inside the door
I can't find purchase date so just winged a date( have receipts for everything else)
Got reply almost at once that engineers visit will be arranged within 8 (eight) weeks!!

Dull here but still dry ( not clothes drying day though)
