It's been quite present here on the West Coast, but tomorrow the West Coast is to be hit by gale force storms and there have been many CalMac ferry cancellations announced....not good news for my son, the Isle of Cumbrae ferry will sail, so it's another 4:30am start for his day.

Today has not been to bad a bit chilly and the odd heavy rainfall, but as from tomorrow morning we have been warned of severe blizzard conditions and gale force winds, the ferry operators CaladonianMacBrayne have already warned of ferry disruptions.

I'll look out Carol55 's wellington boots and winter survival kit so that she can get to the supermarket for the milk and bread!:wink:

I opened the computer and saw this forcast for today....can't be bothered looking out the window!

Very windy weather with gusts to 70 mph or more may affect the far northwest and north of Scotland overnight. After a brief lull winds will increase during Wednesday afternoon and evening, accompanied by increasingly wintry showers. By evening several cm of snow will begin to accumulate away from western coasts, especially over higher ground. In combination with gale force winds, gusting up to 65 mph near showers, travel conditions will start to turn very tricky,
resulting in longer travel travel times.

Not a good day for 'plane spotters' at Prestwick airport.
