I had never heard of this Fabulous Singer Rufus Wainwright until I stumbled across him on Sky Arts a few nights ago. He was performing an amazing concert "Judy Garland at the London Palladium" He replicated a Judy Garland concert with all the old favourites such as
Overture: "The Trolley Song" / "Over the Rainbow" / "The Man That Got Away"

When You're Smiling (The Whole World Smiles With You)
Medley: "Almost Like Being in Love" / "This Can't Be Love"

Do It Again
You Go to My Head
Alone Together
Who Cares? (As Long as You Care for Me)
Puttin' on the Ritz
How Long Has This Been Going On?
Just You, Just Me
The Man That Got Away
San Francisco
That's Entertainment!
I Can't Give You Anything But Love
Come Rain or Come Shine
You're Nearer
A Foggy Day
If Love Were All
Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart
Stormy Weather
Medley: "You Made Me Love You" / "For Me and My Gal" / "The Trolley Song"

Rock-a-Bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody
Over the Rainbow
Swanee
After You've Gone
Chicago

He is a Breath of Fresh Air and a cut above a lot of singers nowadays.

I have now purchased the CD!

Try listening to some of his father's classics -Loudan Wainright 111 - some brilliant parodies and political comments of their day - an amazing live performer and an old popular at Edinburgh Festival and such !

For example an old classic
