This always reminds me of a time going back from a Holiday here, I listened to the recorded radio on the plane and it must have been played at least 3 times on the journey and stuck in my memory ever since it was then an old hit of Eltonīs. For some reason it made me feel very sad to be leaving Tenerife! but I donīt have to leave anymore!:jumping:

PS. how do I get the video on direct please?

Or when you have the clip open, copy the URL, on the quick reply box click on the little film strip icon. Paste the URL into the box and hit OK. (Same thing, different wording).

:jumping:Handbags and Glad Rags - Sterephonics. Scott Bradley sang it to my Daughter in Princess Di's the first time we were in Tenerife @ 2005 and then two years later he sang it for her again in Jags! Always reminds me of the good times we had in Tenerife

Al, that's spooky coz one song that reminds me of my time in Germany in 1974 is also a Gladys Knight song, Midnight Train to Georgia. Always seemed tobe playing on the jukebox when we walked into one of the clubs. Never forget the feeling

Jennifer Rush - The Power of Love The Spanish version was played somewhere around the Patch area almost completely non-stop, and at full volume, for the whole of one holiday in Tenerife. I couldn't resist buying a copy and used to play it on the car radio when I was going to work!

One that reminds me of when I lived in Tenerife has to be A Mover La Colita by La Sonora Dinamita.

There was a very popular music tape over there at the time (late 80's) it was played in the taxis and various bars. I did have a copy once but left it somewhere. I have tried to find it on the internet but don't have enough information on it.

It was various 'cheeky' songs, probably a Cuban band. The lead singer sounded very much like La Sonora Dinamita. One song was about a man who had children, all of whom had dark hair but there was one with just blonde and he was wondering how this could have happened!!

I wish I could find that tape - it's probably on a CD by now :) They were very happy songs. :)

Hi Al Jay - you are quick off the mark - that's the song. :) I was just looking on You Tube trying to find a better vid to go with it. I was looking at another band who recorded it, with these semi clad girls dancing in front of them just as your Notification came through!! :)

Thank you very much :)

"Time after Time" by Cyndi Lauper - takes me back to Thatcher's Bar, PDLC in about 1985, a long time before we discovered the twin delights of the south - golf, and The Wild Geese.
