I see that where Martinez used to be in Las Chafrias is now being redeveloped with the name WOTEN on the fascia. It looks also that it might encompass the old PC City premised also.

Anyone heard anything about this new store?

martinez have been bought out by them according to a spanish friend of mine but dont know how true that is any body else know

They state on their web site that they have taken over several PC City shops and since they have both shops I imagine it to be true. Oh and by the way they say they open tomorrow !

Yes, they now have the whole warehouse that was split between Martinez and PC City

Does anyone know how it compares on price with stores like Mediamarkt and Saturn please? certainly not so far to go! :)

Don't know how the prices compare yet, but if you go tomorrow, according to their website, 'happy hour' is at 1:00pm.
Bet it will be busy then ..... :spin:

Thanks obs! PC city was sooo expensive we really need a competitively priced electronics store in the South! Will try and look in tomorrow!

Had a look around at w/end and generally thought their prices were slightly lower than PC City but more than MediaMarkt. (Saturn are normally similar to MM)

I have shopped in this store with the name Matinez, but it comes up on the credit card as WORTEN.

I am very pleased with everything bought there, very friendly and helpful staff with one chap speaking excellent english.

I have bought electrical goods and pc bits, very helpful, dont know about prices, seemed ok to me
