Sorry if anyone has already started a thread on this restaurant but I couldn't find it.

We live in the area but hadn't heard or seen any advertisement for it and was about to get a takeaway from the new Overseas when we saw Summernights/Summerdays had gone and 2 restaurants had replaced it.

We went to walk up to Balti Balti and the pr from next door stopped us saying 'Please don't go there' we asked why thinking it was going to be a sabotage story of food poisoning or something, instead he was very sweet and said 'Everyone walks past me and goes there, it is always full!'

After talking to him for a while we did go into Balti Balti and the menu was what you would expect, normal off the menu or a set meal of 1 start, 1 main dish and rice for 10.95, we chose this option as it gave us a chance to try a few things. We expected smaller portions than if we had ordered off the menu but not at all, the food was fresh, tasty and good portion sizes! We had Chicken Tikka which was off the bone and very juicy and Chicken Pakora, again good. The Lamb Rogan Josh was amazing and instead of 2 rices we had 1 rice and 1 nan. Including 2 drinks it was 26.00euros, very reasonable. Can't wait to go again!

Love Indian food, but find it very pricey in Tenerife compared to home
