Which airlines allows Unaccompanied minors to fly from London to Tenerife? What is the cost and how good is the service? I know this was asked in a previous thread but cannot find the answer. Thanks

The old thread was on the other database, and can be found if you google the question and hit the cached button on the link. But it is not terribly helpful. I found this link from cheapflights (http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/travel-tips/unaccompanied-children/) that might help. Under 12 seems to be total no no.

Just checked jet 2,i read that children under age of 14 must travel with a adult,so i presuming from age 14 they can fly alone, but special conditions apply to france and portugal.I know ba did flights for kids but there is a cost,i think it use to be about 35 pound each way,my son use to fly out with them when he was younger.

You have to fill papers in and take them to the boarding gate and then a airhostess escorts them onto the plane. With ba rules you should wait by the boarding gate for 1 hour after take off incase for any reason the flight returns.

Once the flight has landed the airhostess will take the child through passport control etc and take the child to the adult who is meeting them.

Thank you for the replies. I will check out cheapflights and jet2 website. She flew with Iberia last year, now she is 12 I wondered if there was an alternative.

Easyjet from Gatwick, 14 or over. Ryanair Luton or Stansted 16 or over.
