I don't know about electric barbi's, ut a friend of mine uses two plancha's for the same job. he bought them from Martinez in Las Chafiras, 15 euros each. I have no idea if they still stock them now it's become Worten, but might be worth a look?

I have a gas bbq but love my electric plancha I bought mine from carrefour a couple of years ago its brilliant.
