Although I have been aware of her for a while I hadn't really listened to her stuff, but can't get Set Fire to The Rain out of my head, wouldn't fancy trying to karaoke it though.

i posted this elsewhere in late March...
local radio stations have been giving her plenty of airtime.....
this lady is one brilliant singer.....

Adele has achieved yet more groundbreaking chart success matching Queen of Pop Madonna with nine weeks at number one, the longest for a female solo artist....
Her current album 21 has now spent the same length of time at the top spot as Madonna's greatest hits The Immaculate Collection.

Adele's debut album 19 stayed at number two. She has now held the top two positions in the album chart for three of the last five weeks.

The Londoner's emotionally-charged track Someone Like You was back at number one in the singles countdown a week after being toppled by Nicole Scherzinger's Don't Hold Your Breath.

Adele still has two other singles in the top 40, Rolling in the Deep at number nine and Make You Feel My Love at 36.

The singer songwriter is also enjoying success Stateside, having regained the number one spot in the US billboard album chart in recent days.

Earlier in the year she became the first living artist since the Beatles to have two top five hits in the UK single and album charts simultaneously.

Absolutely fantastic, one of my favourites. The more you listen to her tracks, the more they grow on you. :)

I have been liking her songs for a very long time now and I am saddened by the news that she will be out for some time to recover from the illness she has got into just a while back.

I have learned that she has already started on a new album as well and would probably be releasing it after recovery.

She looks a lot different now though, probably because if all that gained weight.
