View Full Version : It's my wedding anniversary. How long have you been married?
we have been married for 26 years tomorrow and i am so proud of that fact, because there are so many temptations out there, but i love my wife so much that i could not envisage life without her, so i was just wondering who holds the record for married years together on the forum? because surely we are just newbies:D

Several years ago now I was sitting in a business meeting and a guy got up before the end, apologised for leaving early and explained it was his Silver Wedding Anniversary and he was taking his wife to Paris for the weekend. We all went 'Awwwww' and he laughed and said 'Mind You, it's not the same wife ...' and we all went ... 'WHAT?' and he said 'Well, I'VE been married for 25 years ... just not to the same woman all the time.' And off he went leaving us all a bit cross.
Only 19 for us though.

Mines 29 years and I wouldn't swop him. Probably because no one would give me anything for him. lol

It was our 9th aniversary yesterday, been together 18 years, second time around for us both, but we are both very happy :)

Well mine is 44 years,and your right I would have been out long ago !
7 years first time (Only good thing to come out of that was my 2 older boys) and 6 years so far with Clare.We are celebrating our anniversary in Tenerife on the 10th October (and its my birthday the same day)......I may only have had six years with Clare but each day is better than the last....

me and my husband have been together for 22 years next week.. we only got married last january. still very happy though and looking forward to the next 22 years
9 years married for us this December,never been happier. congratulations mr ans mrs marbro8.
so lovely to see so many long and happy marriages, hope mine last as long, just 12 years so far. Seems such a short time compared to some.

52 years this time around the first 12 is definately the hardest, just about sorted now..
Billy and I are not married, but have been together 19 years, lordy thats a long time really. :wow:
Only 4 years, earlier this month... I really started late, considering I'm close to 50. eek2:
My wife's only 21 though... :laugh: (Keeps having her 21st birthday every February.)
My parents celebrated the day after us, 56 years now... :spin:
