Just had a status update on my facebook from a trusted source. Hope the old lady in question makes it and that the police catch the scumbag involved!

Terrible hit and run accident in Las Americas tonight..old lady..not sure if she will make it. Very bad accident and the driver ran from the car..

That's horrible. I do hope that the old lady survives and that the 'driver' is caught!!!

Horrible if true... hope it's not one of the many fb hoax updates - sorry to say that, but we've all read them in the past :(

If true, I hope the lady makes a full and speedy recovery, and the lunatics get their comeuppance!

Dont think so, its a serious post on a business facebook page who is also an advertiser on here! :(

I'm sure you can understand my scepticism though, we've all read stuff on there that turned out to be rubbish... I'm actually hoping this is one of those things. Too horrible for words :(

Just heard from another source that i wont name on here for obvious reasons that they have seen a news thread that a that a 67-year-old woman died after being knocked down in Calle Noelia Afonso, Playa de las Américas, at a quarter to nine this evening, such sad news, i hope the Police work with everyone involved and that they track this scumbag down!

my daughter saw her while the old lady was on the floor she said she looked bad.she saw a man legging it dont know if it was him though police were close behind him.RIP to the lady.
