View Full Version : Tenerife Forum members... do you have a business in Tenerife?

admin

We are interested to find out how many of our forum members actually own a business in Tenerife and what type of businesses they are so that we can understand the cross-section of our community.

We are also interested how many forum members are business owners in the UK too :)

We are hoping to develop the forum to support our members businesses more in the future, so the responses will help us do that in the best way possible.

Please vote in the poll and post below if you would like to let us know a bit more about your business.

If you are an employee, we would be equally interested to hear about the business you work for and your role within the company :)

Thanks! :D

What if I own businesses in 4 countries?

But the "self employed" option doesn't say if it's in Tenerife or elsewhere...

I've answered as 'self employed' but guess I should have answered we have a business here... though it's possible not the sort I could advertise on here...

Why is this important ?Not important as such, if you are not a business owner, but potentially important if you are.

As Admin has pointed out a business section for members would be of benefit to..........members.

Poor old OAPs. Maybe this should have been a category? It is... 'other - please post below' ;) Only allowed 10 poll options ;)

KirstyJay
27-08-2011, 21:09
Why is this important ?As slodgie said, it's not really... apart from the fact that in the current economic climate, we are trying to develop things on the forum that will HELP businesses in Tenerife... an may possibly be useful to businesses in the UK and elsewhere too...

If you do not want to participate in the research then feel free to click the 'i just want to see the results' option, that is why it's there :)

One idea of how to use this information will be to ask business owners & self employed we identify here for their views on meetings specifically for our members - networking, mentoring and the like :)

EDIT: For anybody thinking I've finally lost the plot (that happened years ago :D) and I'm talking to myself, Kirsty's post should have been quoted in mine... but it appears not to have been... ???

I have posted 'Other' as I have been retired for the past 18 years. However, I have never owned a business but spent my working life in public service.

I have a few business interests and am currently developing a few more. Some Tenerife related, some not. All ideas are of interest, I enjoy networking (especially if its "laid on" :) ) and really enjoy discussing business, especially online marketing/SEO etc. I have a lot of respect for self made people and would be interested in meeting more in Tenerife if they are kicking around.

I am a self employed Commercial Finance Broker in the UK, organizing finance for small to medium sized businesses buying vehicles and machinery etc. Also source cars and vans for customers

Would love to transfer my skills to Tenerife and be able to do something similar on the island, but haven't been able to figure out how up to now!

Unless of course anyone out there knows different.

I want to be privateIt's not actually compulsory to answer... as mentioned in the OP, this is for research purposes in order for us to try and help business people on the forum. If you'd prefer not to answer, then don't. There is an option for that on the poll, you can also just closed the thread and not vote at all.
