Was the squid not 2 miles out and actually dead ?

Yes, the squid was dead when it was found, it had a tentacle missing and an eye but it was one of the biggest species seen and the shark that they quoted as being 6 foot was also found dead, the shark the fishermen caught in Poris de Abona (Arico) was 4m long and had to be lifted out of the water by a grua. Canarian Weekly get it all wrong again! Shocking editor, can't even get a story right and last week they had a story about Fañabe beach with a big picture of Vista Sur beach! With all the recent media interest in shark attacks don't think it was really necessary to have it front page news especially when the bigger shark was only a plankton eating shark and not a killer!! I'm just fed up reading badly translated text, they had one a few weeks ago featuring a local councillor, Mr Love, his name was Sr Amor, they obviously don't even check the stories they run through translators grrrrr, do the work, it doesn't take much!
