Good Morning....It's already September ....how did that happen so quickly!

Yesterday it was hot with clear skies and high temperatures.
At 2:45 pm it was 28°C in the shade with 51% humidity; and at 11:15 pm the air temperature was still a very warm 24.1°C.

The provincial weather forecast for today is for cloudy intervals in the north and west, little cloud or clear in high areas over 2000 meters; slightly cloudy in the remaining zones, with developing cloud during the day with possible light occasional showers, mainly on north and west slopes.

Temperatures with little change; variable light winds with breezes, changing to north winds at the end of the day;
west winds moderate to strong on central peaks.

Expected high for Sta.Cruz today is 29°C.

Puerto de la Cruz is expected to have another cloudless, sunny day like yesterday with little or no wind;

Good Morning!

We had a beautiful clear and sunny morning yesterday but it clouded over and was overcast by 3 pm.
However it stayed very warm. Temperature at 5:30 pm was 25.7° and at 11:30 pm it was still 23.5°C.

This morning the sun is out again in a cloudless blue sky. The air feels a little cooler, but I think not for long.

The provincial forecast today is short and sweet:

Although we had a beautiful clear morning yesterday, low rainclouds appeared before noon and by 2:00 pm it was completely overcast with a shade temperature of 25.2°C and humidity a high 77%.
At 8:20 pm the air temperature was still a warm 24.4°C.

This morning looks like yesterday morning with a cloudless blue sky and sunshine.

The provincial forecast is for cloudy intervals in the north, mainly clear at midday; a little cloud elsewhere.

Temperatures dropping slightly, being most noticeable in middle altitudes where the drop will be moderate.

Northeast winds light to moderate, more intense in middle altitudes; light wind with breezes along southwest coasts;
moderate winds on northwest central peaks.

High forecast today for Sta. Cruz is 26°C.

Yesterday was another warm day, starting out with clear skies and partially clouding over by early afternoon.
By 7:30 pm it was mostly overcast; air temperature was 24.4°C, humidity 66%.

This morning it's cloudy with a few patches of blue sky.
The sun tries to come out every once in a while but it's generally dull and cooler, with a little breeze.

We had a warm sunny day yesterday, with some clouds in the afternoon; temperature at 7:00 pm was 25.3°C and at 10:00 pm a warm 24°C.

This morning was cloudy but the sky is clearing little by little, and the sun is trying to come out at 9:30 am.

Yesterday was warm and humid but not as hot as previous days, with cloud cover and a breeze in the afternoon.
Temperature at 7:00 pm was 24.8°C and at midnight 23.5°C.

This morning is a little cooler, overcast and humid with no sun as I write at 10:00 am, despite the sunny icons from the weather office posted yesterday as today's forecast.

The Aemet provincial forecast is for mainly cloudy in the north below 800 meters, little cloud or clear elsewhere; temperatures without change or slightly higher, being moderate in southern middle altitudes. Although we were supposed to have clear skies yesterday, it was overcast most of the day.
Temperatures were warm, and at 7:10 pm it was 24.4°C with 70% humidity.

This morning at 10 am it's overcast and pleasantly cool.

Today the island is under yellow alert for HIGH TEMPERATURES for the south, east and west and this will continue through Thursday,with inland temperatures reaching 35°C, coastal temperatures a little less.
Similar conditions are forecast for the eastern islands and Gran Canaria.
Tenerife North is not included in this alert, but it will be warm.

We also have CALIMA forecast for all day today in the archipelago.

Provincial forecast calls for mainly little or no cloud with rising temperatures, more pronounced in middle altitudes; light to moderate north winds with variable light winds in high areas. Forecast high for Sta. Cruz is 32°C.

Today the CALIMA continues and we can expect another hot day.

The yellow HEAT ALERT is still in effect for the east, west and south of Tenerife today from 11 am until 9 pm, including La Orotava and Vilaflor, but not the north coast.

It's also affecting the rest of the archipelago where Gran Canaria is on orange alert.
The alert continues tomorrow for Tenerife and Gran Canaria, again including La Orotava and Vilaflor, but not the north coast.

The Aemet weather office's provincial forecast calls for mainly little cloud or clear skies with possible mists on north coasts;
temperatures rising slightly on the coasts, rising more at middle altitudes, where they could reach 35°C; light to moderate north winds with coastal breezes; light variable winds on middle altitudes.

Forecast high for Sta. Cruz is 31°C.

Good Morning!

It was warm again yesterday with some cloud in the afternoon:
Air temperature at 7 pm was 26.1° and at 9:30 pm 24.6° with humidity 72%.

This morning it has been totally overcast from a sea of cloud over Pto. de la Cruz which was seen earlier on the Bodegas Monje webcam in El Sauzal.
Here the cloud is breaking up into a mist and rising at 9:30 am:

The humidity this morning was a high 86% at 9:30 am. The sun is beginning to come out as I write this at 10:30 am.

The yellow HEAT ALERT is still in effect today for the east, south and west of Tenerife including La Orotava and Vilaflor with temperatures up to 34°C.
The CALIMA will also continue today.

The Aemet provincial forecast is for morning cloud in the north, clearing to little cloud in the afternoon, clear in remaining areas; temperatures in moderate descent, more pronounced in middle altitudes where temperatures there and at high altitudes could still reach 34°.

North winds light to moderate.Variable light with breezes in the south. High for Sta. Cruz 29°C.

Puerto de la Cruz should have sun with some morning cloud, clearing in late afternoon; temperatures 20°/26°C;
north winds light and UV very high at 10.

Saturday expected to be clear and sunny; Sunday will have mixed sun and cloud with a small rise in temperature.

Good Morning!

Another warm day yesterday after the sun finally appeared around 10:15 am.
Temperature at 6:15 pm was 26.7°C with 66% humidity, but it was warmer in the interior of the island.

This morning the sky is clear and it looks like the start of another beautiful day.
At 9:30 am the shade temperature was already 23° and the humidity was high at 74%.

The yellow heat alert for the islands is over, but the CALIMA will continue for another day or two.

The provincial forecast for today is for cloudy to very cloudy along north coasts, clearing at noon; clear in the south and in high areas above 800 meters.

It was a beautiful but very warm day yesterday, and the sky was clear of clouds from morning until sunset.
At 4:20 pm the shade temperature was 27.9°, the humidity 63% and at 6 pm it was still 27°.

This morning looks to be the same, with sunshine and clear blue sky from 8 am as we're under the influence of a high pressure area.

The provincial forecast is for cloudy intervals on north coasts with possible light scattered showers in late afternoon/evening, affecting mainly middle and high altitudes; little cloud or clear in southern areas over 1000 meters.

Two years ago on September 11, 2009 - I got out some of my early slide transparencies taken in Barcelona in 1968, and using a very low tech (or better said - no tech ) method of taking a digital photo through a slide viewer I produced these digitalized images of the streets and Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia Cathedral as it was over 40 years ago.

Air temperature at 6:45 pm was 25°C with humidity at 68% and half cloudy.

Another warm day of sun and cloud yesterday, at 7:39 pm we had air temperature of 24.2° and humidity at 67%.
This morning was cloudy until around 9 am when the sun came out; the temperature is a little cooler and the barometer has gone down.
But it looks like it will be another warm, sunny day. There's a little breeze at 9:30 am.

The provincial forecast is for cloudy skies in the north, clearing in the afternoon; a little cloud in remaining areas, except in western and southern coastal areas where clouds will increase around midday.

We had another warm day yesterday, with sun and cloud. Thankfully the humidity was a little lower.
Temperature at 6 pm was 26°C with 64% humidity.

This morning is beautiful with a cloudless blue sky and sunshine.

The lady of the house makes up bouquets from her garden flowers every morning and sets them out in front of her gate to sell.
You make your choice and put your money in the green metal box hanging on the gate.
We've bought family birthday flowers there for many years, but have never seen the lady who does this.
Sometimes she sells vegetables there as well.

This morning looks like the start of another good day with a clear sky and cloudless view of Teide and Las Cañadas.
Temperature at 8:30 am was 20.6°C, a little lower than on previous days; humidity at 63% which is the norm for outside on my windowsill.

Yesterday was warm with some afternoon cloud and humidity a little lower.
Air temperature at 6 pm was 25.9°C with 61% humidity.

This morning there's blue sky with clouds and at 9 am, temperature was 21.8°C with 61% humidity.

The Aemet provincial forecast for today is for clouds in the north with intervals of very cloudy in the afternoon together with possible occasional light showers, affecting mainly middle and high altitudes; light cloud or clear in the south with cloudy intervals in the afternoon; clear on peaks over 1700 meters.

Temperatures dropping slightly; northeast winds moderate with intervals of strong on east and northwest slopes;
variable light winds with breezes in the west.

High today for Sta.Cruz 28°C.

Well we had a few drops of light rain yesterday at around 1 pm when it turned overcast and breezy.
The sprinkle continued until 2:30 pm when the sun came out again; temperature at that time was 25°C.
Sun and breezes continued for the rest of the day.

This morning it looks dull, with dark grey rainclouds hanging in an overcast sky.
The air is also a little cooler, although it's over 20°C.

Yesterday was mostly dull with a few spots of rain from time to time.
Air temperature at 7 pm was 24.3°C with 77% humidity and an overcast sky, however it began to rain at
around 11:30 pm.

This morning there were some clouds but the sun was out by 9 am along with blue sky.

Yesterday afternoon we saw a mixture of sun and heavy cloud but it was warm.

Temperature at 6 pm was 24.3°C with 65% humidity and at 8:30 pm it was 23.5°C.

This morning is starting off with a few high clouds in a blue sky with sun coming out at 8:30 am. It's a little cooler.

Good Morning!

Yesterday we had another warm day, with humidity somewhat lower and some cloud which cleared in the late afternoon leaving a blue sky and a cloudless sunset. Shade temperature at 3:45 pm was 27.4° and at 7 pm 25.3° with humidity at 55%.

This morning is clear and sunny. The morning temperatures are now a little cooler, at 21° at 9 am rather than the customary 23°C.

We had beautiful weather yesterday with clear skies and sunshine all day long, ending in a brilliant sunset.
Air temperature at 8:30 pm was 24.5°C.

This morning is again sunny and clear with no clouds in sight.

The provincial forecast for today is for a few cloudy intervals in the north with little or no cloud in remaining areas.

Coastal temperatures without change; slight drop in temperatures at middle altitudes;
north winds light to moderate; mainly breezes on coasts.

Saturday similar with a little morning cloud, light northwest wind and a one degree drop in temperatures.
