Strictly Come Dancing rumours keep on coming!

'The rumour mill for Strictly Come Dancing have been noticeably quiet so far this year but a few names are coming though; let’s see who has been rumoured so far.

A recent name to come out is comedian Rory Bremner. A Strictly insider told The Sun: “Rory is interesting as most people know him for his impressions but don’t know a lot about him.

“Taking part will allow viewers to see the real him – he’ll bring a certain audience with him, too.”

Russell Grant has reportedly lost 10 stone to take par tin the show – is it written in the stars for him to be on the show?

Jason Donovon (who I met when I was little-rock on!) is another name that’s been rumoured for series 9 of Strictly; he’s currently playing Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music; so I think he’ll have the moves – one to watch!

Alex Jones, The One Show presenter and new BBC golden girl is almost certain to be in Strictly this year. As Len would say, I’ll eat my trousers if she isn’t on the show this year.'

Zoe Ball to present It Takes Two!

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Zoe Ball has been announced as the new presenter of It Takes Two on BBC2. Zoe is set to replace Claudia Winkleman who has just had her third baby.

Zoe says “There has been quite a hullabaloo at home with the news,” the presenter said. “I’m giddy with glee and I may even have slipped momentarily into a celebratory cha cha cha, although technically not a very good one!

“Having been a contestant myself and having hosted the Strictly Come Dancing Tour, it would be fair to say I’m obsessed with the whole dance phenomenon. I love everything Strictly, from watching the partnerships blossom and bloom to the tricky footwork, the frocks and the shock exits, and of course the judges.”

“Physically and metaphorically I may have trouble fitting my huge feet into Claudia’s tiny wee shoes, she is one fabulous lady, but I will do my best to bring all the ups and downs and laughter and tears behind the nation’s favourite show to the fans. I can’t wait to start this thrilling adventure. Such fun!”

Moira Ross, Strictly Come Dancing’s executive producer, commented: “Zoe is a fantastic presenter and I’m delighted that she is joining It Takes Two. With her first-hand experience of the series, she’s the perfect person to give viewers all the insider knowledge, gossip and news from this year’s show.”
