Cheap, reliable small car

i am posting this for my father in law who has recently moved here, they have a budget of 2000 euros, they are hiring at the moment and its costing a fortune.

What size car are they looking for as we have a few people selling all types of cars.

i really dont think that they are bothered what car it is, as long as its reliable, could even be a 2 door as its only the mother/father in law in it, just a cheap little run around to do their shopping etc
