Can I buy a charger for my Kindle in Tenerife?

I have lost my charger for my Kindle somehow - possibly left at friend's house. The Kindle of course is now about to die and I need to buy another charger - is the micro-B usb end only for the Kindle, or can you buy similar leads? Or if not, is it possible to get one in Tenerife. Since I have been surgically attached to the Kindle since I bought it, I am now panicking!

This charger (micro usb ) is the same as used on the Samsung Galaxy S phone - so a trip to a cell phone shop may help.

You should be able to get one in Visanta etc, bring the Kindle with you and you should get sorted.

Amazon deliver to Tenerife. However, you have to download from Amazon . com which appears to be a little dearer than the U K site.

just plugging a micro USB lead into a computer USB will charge it up.

I may even have one you can have....you can use an iPhone wall charger with a micro-b USB lead in it. I do this with my iPhone in a mophie case...
