Hi

We are wedding planners and event organisers. Only last week we conducted a massive Irish ceremony for a couple. It was a marvellous day.

And in 2 weeks we have another wedding..........................

Please PM me with all your requirements. I will pass your info onto our chief wedding co-ordinator and she is absolutely marvellous at her job. Canarian born, however English education including Westminster University means that there is no translation problems whatsoever.

If I'm wrong then no doubt someone will be along to correct me shortly BUT

The problems getting MARRIED here (as opposed to having say a BLESSING) can be that at least one partner must have been legally residing in Spain for 2 years or more
Then there is the expense of having every personal document legally translated and apostilled (ie signed and stamped by the consulate) tot it up - if you have both had previous ,marriages that's 1 birth certificate 1 previous marriage certificate 1 decree absolute EACH at around 100 euros a throw, not to mention certificates of Empandronamiento, passports ,residence certificates and the personal details of your 2 witnesses - For starters

No seriously, its not impossible, but some couples prefer to spend the money on enjoying themselves somewhere else if they don't live here or if they do they opt for Gibralter where residence regs are, I believe, only 48 hours!

Perhaps one of the so called "wedding planners" would care to comment.

The above is absolutely correct. What comments are you actually seeking from us 'so called wedding planners'?????

I agree with the Gibraltar idea.............. that's what I would personally do if I was in that position, however, each to their own, and in fairness, a high percentage of our weddings tend to be blessings based on the above.:spin:
