Good home cooking in Esmeralda on the main road San Juan to Alcala. Size and price are super!! Lunchtime full of drivers etc. Best visit 1-3 pm. We have never been disappointed yet.

We have a full line up of entertainment throughout the day tomorrow. Live cricket with Somerset v Surrey then football a 12.45 with Blackburn V Arsenal and Blackburn V Newcastle at 3pm. From 8pm onwards we will be showing the X Factor live and will have live entertianment to follow straight after with Kris Richards.

Good point! Sorry for the very obvious mistake that should be Villa V Newcastle. As a geordie it was probably wishful thinking that we were playing Blackburn after 90 mins with Arsenal.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a nice restaurant, which does good cheap food?it depends on what sort of restaurant/eatery you want for your money? terreza del mar do a good menu with a 3 course for about 10 euros and is classy, but on the other end of the scale i think that the olive garden although it's not the most salubrious of places have some lovely home made curry's and make all their own bread, desperate dans in los cris do a lovely steak pie or fish and home made chips for 6 euros, again cafe style tables an chairs, so there is cheapish with a bit of class or cheap and cheerfull:dontknow:

Went to Wok'n'Fire in Adeje the other week... 30€ inc. drinks for 2 of us and the food was lovely. Had lots of Sushi to start, then the mongolian BBQ. The wasabi sauce was awesome!

Restaurante Asadero Central in Valle de San Lorenzo, 4 of us dined there (adults) and we had 2 beef dishes I had a pork chop and my wife had a vegetarian option, we started with a cheese platter to share and fresh bread with homemade mojo sauces sides were Canarian pots, chips and mixed salad to share. The chef/kitchen is in full view of the dining room and everything that can be is cooked on the grill. 2 liters of wine and complimentary shots at the end.

All for €36

You could try the Cave / La Cueva in Los Abrigos, just of the plaza, street facing the church, great food / atmosphere, looking out onto the ocean, very reasonably priced !
