You can pay the fine in any Banco Santander or with credit card on the Trafico website http://www.dgt.es/portal/es/oficina_virtual/multas/ there should be info on the ticket what the fine was for but normally the ones that are sent via post are for speeding.

I am a bit confused as to why you have received a Trafico fine from your Insurers! If it is in fact from Trafico you can pay online or at the Santander but if papers need to be presented then that must be done at the offices in Santa Cruz.
There are a vast array of fines sent by post these days Nic including of course speeding but other more common ones are not stopping at a astop line, crossing a solid white line , not producing documents when stopped plus many more.

I am wondering if it is possible to check on line if I have any fines outstanding on my car. Someone told me I can input my reg no into the traffico web page and it will let me know. Does anyone have a link to this. Thanks.

http://www.buscamultas.com/ ... be warned though this only works if you have ignored notifications and fines have been published in the Boletíns or Testra, you can also set up an alert to be notified.
