I have tried for days now and come to a dead end, I used to be able to connect on my phone from my wifi connection and i had a bloke in to see to a problem on my computer and since then i have not been able to connect, I have tried putting the code that is under the router and it still wont let me get on line it just keeps coming on and then disconnecting with the wifi sign and a little yellow triangle on it. Can anyone give me any advise on this in layman's terms please.

If your running Win7 or Vista type in the box bottom left hand corner "ip"a box will come on the screen with what you router is doing, click it and then click disable and the click enable. The yellow triangle will disappear and you will be back online.

On my laptop there was a button which allowed you to connect to wifi that looked like a radio transeiver. I had terrible trouble connecting until someone finally pointed this out.

dede this is the blind leading the blind, or may be the blonde leading the blonde. Is it possible the man who 'helped' you with your computer has changed its brain so that it no longer allows other machines to access its wi-fi? These techy types sometimes like to improve security and so disable the function which allows you to use the router but with another machine. When someone did this to mine and I had to get them back the man said to me 'but ANYONE could access the internet through your wifi, for all you know your neighbours are watching porn courtesy of your wifi.' Trouble was not only had he blocked everyone else he'd also managed to block me. I'm sure there was a thread about this on the old Forum somewhere. You have to reset something. Sorry not to be helpful but I am sympathetic.

This sounds about right to me as well, I have rang him and he said he did change the settings and to put this other code back in when it asks for a key, but i have tried it and it isnt happening, I will ring him again on monday and ask him to come back out if its not sorted before then. Thanks cainaires.
