Are there any poisonous bugs/reptiles in Tenerife?

This might sound like a daft question now, but are there any little creepy crawlies I should be wary about?

I'm about to visit for my fifth time in October and have never been really sure, I often see some massive colourful bugs....do you have any resident animals that are venemous?

Do Jimandsi count as poisonous animal? He comes across as Big and Colourful:D

Ony jumping small spiders but there more scared of you sqwashing them so mostly run away .

oh yes, there are plenty of two legged creepy crawlers, unfortunatly not an endangered species here, in fact i would say they were on the rise. usually come out to feed in the early hours of the morning.

Looks like I'll be wary of the little jumpers then :)

I'm sure the missus will let me know well in advance with a scream even if there is a tiny spider...

Are the red spiders dangerous?? I have found 2, one about the size of a 2p in the bathroom and one really big one crawling up the wall. Nearly died when i seen the large one :laugh: Wish i took a picture but i was not staying anywhere near it :)
