It's the day when they take flowers to the graves of friends and relatives.

well jackie. october 31.november 2 it is the day of the daed it come from mexico and spain.
the Spaniards, who viewed death as the end of life, the natives viewed it as the continuation of life. Instead of fearing death, they embraced it. To them, life was a dream and only in death did they become truly awake.

the Spaniards moved it so it coincided with All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (Nov. 1 and 2), which is when it is celebrated today.

Primrose will Mondays one affect the buses like Thursdays do you know otherwise I will have to get the earlier bus to work....does that make you happier MM ;)

It's a local holiday.
All shops in San Miguel de Abona should be shut, they used to be obliged to shut, I don't know if that still goes. You can normally only get away with opening when you are in a tourist area like playa.
All areas have 2 local holidays they can take.
Arona's next one is normally the first Monday in October and Adeje the second Monday.
