Yes, you'll find some illegal ones operating out of certain bars: think they are mainly geared to the British market.

So,not legally then,we have casino's and the Euro lottery so is bookmaking illegal in Spain or just not part of the Spanish/Canarian culture?

I agree with Doreen. You will definitely find them in British Bars.

Follow punters walking along the road with the Sun/Dail Record folded over in the conventional style at the racing pages. Suggested locations range from Torviscas (nr. to Sunset Bay area)/, LC towards the children,s play area right on the beach front.
Go ea.way on all the FAV.,s over 9/2 and you,ll come out in front! Good luck anyway!

It is totally illegal to gamble without a license.

Massive fines have been given in the recent past for horseracing betting and bingo.

Before you ask, licenses are virtually impossible to get for a bar.

Just to give an example, a friend of mine ran a big bingo game in a few bars years ago and was making a lot of money.

His only mistake was to have one of his big prize winners photographed and put in the paper.

He was fined 5 million pesetas (£20,000) and all his equipment confiscated. He wasn't unhappy....2 Months earnings out of 10.

The only downside is he had to leave the island
