Just read this on the Which website:-

EasyJet has introduced new cabin bag rules that will guarantee passengers with hand luggage no bigger than 50 x 40 x 20cm can keep their bag with them in the cabin.

The current maximum size permitted, 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, will remain unchanged, but passengers with a bag of this size may find that they have to put their bag in the hold if the flight is busy.

The policy changes, which come into force on 2 July, will mean that passengers who want to ensure their hand luggage is permitted in overhead lockers, or under the seat in front of them, will need to buy a cabin bag that meets the reduced dimensions.

Something to bear in mind when packing perhaps.

Just booked another flight with Ryanair.

Now I love Ryanair, don't get me wrong. Prices are always keen, flights mostly on time, and as long as you stick to the rules, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

However, booking a flight is getting more and more ridiculous. Every time I book a flight (which is a lot!) there are increasing numbers of optional extras. Text confirmation, airport parking, priority boarding, seat selection, city transfers, suitcases, car hire, sim cards, hotels, a chance to win the price of your flight, and this time a bus tour of Santa Cruz!

How may more things can they think of? Pretty soon they'll be selling us Ryanair knickers!

Please be aware that they have changed the drop off rules at TFS.

Previously you could stay for 20 minutes at the drop off point.

Today we left the car for about 10 minutes to find on our return from meeting a friend that the car had been removed to a compound and we had to pay €50 to get it back.

The only sign at the entrance to the drop off point says 'Drop off only use car park for anything else' or words to that effect. I only managed to read this because l had to go past it again after retrieving the car from the compound.

There are no warning signs about vehicles being removed or the cost of doing so.

This is a wonderful way of the airport authorities making money.

Shame on Tenerife!

I flew back to Prestwick on 21st April .However, I wanted to buy a litre of Gin .I had checked the price on the outbound flight and the difference in price was 20 cents and it is a plastic bottle so I thought that will do for me.

Therefore, I ignored buying in the shops and waited to buy on board..

Wrong, no duty free alcohol or cigs on the flight. Now we all know that the Canaries are classed as non Eu for booze and fags so a lost sale for me and the passenger in row 1.

The no1 on the flight said that it was due to the stock being loaded in Edinburgh!!

So lost sales for Ryanair and Mr O'Leary when there was a captive market.Tut tut :)
