Like everywhere else here, its down to luck. We bought a new car last year and took a sum on interest free, which was on offer. One day after submitting records of employment, salary evidence, copy nomina and personal docs. got phone cal; to say all was OK and go get your new car! Three months later a similar offer for my new computer at one tenth of the car finance was knocked back!
Now if you can make sense of that you are better than us. And before someone raises the matter of the percentage of earnings to outgoings, we were well within that.
