Recommendations wanted for long term private health insurance

We spend around five months a year in Tenerife and have never bought private health insurance. We now think we may have been pushing our luck and ought to pay up this winter!
Can anyone recommend a provider?
We have friends who buy a good value one but they say that it is limited to only three months.
We are mid-sixties and have no medical problems except high blood pressure controlled with one medication.
