Cars & Transport Re: Are Titsa ripping people off?
In February I used a Bono that was 11 months old, and it worked fine. Even after 12 months, I think you can take the old Bono to the PDLA bus station or to the Santa Cruz Intercambiador and they will...

I wonder how one can get permission to run a bus service.
The bus service from La Laguna to La Esperanza seems to be privately run, and they even use the La Laguna Titsa bus station.
But it... -

I realise this is an old thread, but it's still true that you get great food and great value at Tenerife petrol station cafes. This comes as a huge surprise to everyone from the UK who is used to...

Near Los Gigantes is an area called El Varadero. At the south of this area is a brown tourist sign that points to "Varadero", but it just points to a patch of wasteland. What's that all about then?

Re: Has anyone done the Jeep tour to Teide and Masca?
The TITSA buses are another option. The tiny Route 355 bus from Santiago del Teide to Masca is surely as exciting as doing it by Jeep, provided you take the seat next to the driver.

Other Re: Could We Survive a Mega-Tsunami?
Well, Vilaflor is 1400 metres altitude, so you should be safe from tsunamis there. On the other hand, Tenerife sprouts a new volcano once every hundred years or so, which might wipe out Vilaflor.

I don't know for sure, but a Google search for
