Chickenpox is doing the rounds at the moment in south Tenerife

Just wondered how many parents out there had little ones suffering with chicken pox at the moment. My eldest (who is 3) caught it the last week of school and when she was off there were another eight off in her class with it (there's only 18 in her class!). Now my little one has it, she's only 18 months and is really suffering quite badly with it. When my eldest had it her doctor told us one of the schools in El Fraile had 11 kids off from one class with it. So mums and dads be aware, there's an epidemic about just now and any pregnant mums try to take extra care!

Hi Nic, my two had it when they were both little aswell, in some of the nurseries they actually like the children to get it all together, cos it doesnt effect you as much when you are smaller. Hope they both get rid of it soon, get the calamine lotion out. Happy New Year to you all.
