Tenerife Grocery prices up for 2012 ?

Did you also notice prices going up by a few cents for lots of products now after newyear .

Yust came from Mercadonna and noticed several things more expencive some even a lot .

Iceland had some offers of stuff they have left over from Xmas and new-year other prices seemed the same to me.

Dident visit other stores yet so can not tell about the rest .


Must be the crisis ..........as everybody earns less now here .... .

Even in Mac Donalds it was more for a cofee so went few doors next to them for an 80 cent cortado as they ask now 1.50 for the bigger cofee that was arround 1.20 I think
Their hamburger menues were more also I noticed .

Well they cant devaluate the spanish Euro so wages have to go down or stay same and prices can only follow what the market does over the whole of Europe and the world for foodprices i gues.

The jump in prices is quite considerable for some products a punet of Cherry Tomatoes in Mercadona used to be 1.05€ they are now 1.40€
