My graphics card on the laptop is overheating and burning out the fan

Hi I have a Philips x72 Laptop, and its graphics card overheats and burns out the fan. I have replaced the fan

but it lasts for about 20 mins burns out the new fan and shuts down the computer again. At the same time as

this started to occur, the battery stopped charging ....so can only use mains now.

My question is can this be repaired at reasonable cost or should I be prepared to buy another one. Any help

    would be appreciated.

    Re: overheating

Sounds like something is stopping the fan form turning, it burns out and the card overheats.
