My Skype is not working correctly on iPad

I have an ipad2 with SIM card and last year I was on Skype every day to uk with no problems and this summer in uk again with no problems.I have been back here for two weeks and only managed to have a decent connection to my family once out of that time trying several times a day.My son says the bandwidth probably isn't enough,is anyone else having this problem?

Using ipad3 on Internet with Skype & FaceTime no real problems - FaceTime seems much better when used.

have wifi only a pay as u go micro sim from Vodafone or I would use FaceTime its brilliant

Have you tried it in a bar with Wifi ?

I live in Piedra Hincada and I don't think there are any bars down in San Juan with wifi but I will go to the Internet shop tonight to see if I can connect.It did work the other night but I had to use the audio mode only not the video.It seems strange it worked fine last year.
