Game finished with a 2-1 win for Tenerife. We started the game fantastically with two quick goals to equal the tie. Before the break though Alaves pulled a goal back through a very very dubvious penalty. Now the same player from Alaves received TWO yellow cards in the first half but the ref did not send him off despite fierce protests from Tenerife. Scandalous.

At half-time the ref rectified and sent the player off. The 2nd half was a bit stop start as both teams tired. Alaves had another player sent off but this made them play alot deeper. With Tenerife missing both their wingers and top player left back Llorente they struggled but still had the odd chance. The game finished 2-1 so we lost on agg. Not the end of the world, we are up and this was just an extra trophy. Bit of a "game too far" for many especially as the players have only 3 weeks until the start of the pre-season!
