A 30/40 min walk down into the gorge would give you a good appetitie for a nice lunch.
Thinking of catching 355 bus from Buenavista del Norte to Masca. Is there enough to keep us occupied for 3 hours before catching the next bus back. Also would like to know if there is a reasonable priced restaurant where we can eat lunch in the village.

Yes, you'll be able to spend 3 hrs having a mooch around, and a nice, reasonably priced lunch. Enjoy!
Enjoying the best of both worlds
Took a trip to Masca last time we were there, and it must have been a day with no bus trips, so a good drive up. The only problem was with no buses not all the restaurants were open, but we had a lovely meal in the little square by the church, and it was so peaceful could have stayed there for hours. We went on a Monday.
I don't think anyone ever regrets visiting Masca.
Very nice I'm sure, but wouldn't be able to make it back up again, bit dodgy on the old pins

That sounds hopeful, are there many restaurants to choose from in the village?
You could have a nice walk..and then try Restaurante La Fuente in Masca..nice food and reasonably priced..
