Ecky Thump (08-01-2017)
Now we know how to cook it, where does everyone buy there lamb from? I have bought a fresh leg of lamb from Macro but not seen it in there recently!
Any one know where else to buy it ?
The butcher's counter at Iceland in Las Americas usually has all cuts of lamb.
We have just enjoyed another wonderful lamb steak meal, cooked by my fair hand and we wondered where/if we can buy lamb steaks in Tenerife. The butchers in Iceland branches PDLA and Chafiras have now closed and I'm sure there is somewhere that can help.
We are over soon and as we are over for nearly 3 months keen to find somewhere we can to get some nice lamb steaks as lamb is our first choice meat.
Some may suggest we take some with us but with only hand luggage room of course is tight (and its too late to get a pet passport for Shaun !)

You can not buy fresh lamb in Tenerife. Most is imported frozen. Best I ever found was a restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz selling New Zealand lamb shoulder. We checked the bins... A three course meal for 14 Euros. Garlic bread, garlic prawns, lamb with veggies and potatoes or fries and dessert. Lovely Canarian vine. Just a treat.
also you can not buy packs of Brazil nuts in Mercadonna
