What are my employment rights if the bar I work for closes?

    Hi

Can anyone help?? If you are 3 months into a signed 6 month contract and your company closes without any notice due to bar being rented out to new tennants,is the contract void or should you be paid up the minimum hours etc as you are now redundent/unemployed??
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Contract ??

Hi, did you get this solved? As far as I know, if you had a contract and they fire you for whatever reason you are entitled a settlement and you will get unemployment money if you have worked for at least 1 year. If you had a contract previous to this one and you have got at least one year in total you should get it.

    Good luck!
