Why is the gate for the piscina natural in Los Gigantes closed at the moment?

Does anyone know why the gate to the Natural Pool has been locked for the past few days. Took my sister there today and loads of people were trying to get in. Most just climbed over the gate, but as my sister is 70, I didn't think that was such a good idea.
