Spanish Insurance is an odd one, I know with house insurance you have to give I think a couple of months notice to change. I got caught out once when I wanted to change companies. They have some really strange laws in Spain.
Not sure about car insurance though.
Have you tried rastreator.com? I always give them ago and use yhe quotes given to get my company to lower there's.
