Can I get additional medication for holidays when in the system in Tenerife?

Hi all, I am in the system here and get my presciptions on the health service. I want to go away on saturday coming for about a month. I only have enough medication to last until until Sunday. My medication on my prescription is not due until Monday. I know I can buy them and then get the money but the chemist will only allow 5 days in which to do this. As I am going for a longer period, how do Iget around this. The medication is very expensive. Any ideas please. Thanks in advance.

Surely, all you need to do is see your doctor and explain your situation, and get additional supplies, before you leave.

I recently had a problem with one of my medications (which I can't buy without a prescription). I told the doctor and he cancelled the prescription that still had 6 weeks to run, and he issued a new pescription for me to correct the situation.

I will give this a try but i am wondering how it will work for two months worth as i might go
