Is there any point in keeping Electron cards for payment of flights?

I got one for my flights to and from U.K. to the Canaries in general and wonder whether there is any point in keeping it going? Any advice please

Re: Electron cards for payment of flights- is there any point in keeping them ?

    Hi,

Most people had them to save on booking fees on Ryanair etc. This is not the case any more and so I have not used mine for ages. To save a few pounds I have been booking singles each way and paying in euros for the return flight with a uk credit card which does not have a loading for foreign transactions (e.g. Halifax Clarity Card) . You must remember to untick the box or you will pay the RA exchange rate which is rubbish. I usually save about £10, not much I know, but it is the satisfacion of beating the RA system that counts but helps towards paying the latest check in/seat allocation nonsense
