I'm thinking of buying a gas BBQ. What are the legal requirements re safety.

I own an apartment with an open balcony/terrace the community rules say no charcoal bbq's are allowed only gas bbq's I shall be coming out shortly and want to know what the legal legislation is as I assume I may require some form of licence to purchase the gas bottles.

If it's a small gas cylinder for a barbeque then you can get the license from the garage when you buy your first cylinder. If you want a larger cylinder that could be used for a barbeque or household gas cooker then you will need to have a visit to inspect the gas installation
