    Can anyone explain the charges on my electricity bills in Tenerife?

    I have just returned to our family apartment, having not been here since mid May. I have 2 bills from Endesa. I see they are now back to monthly bills, The first from 24th June to 23rd July shows 0 kwh but I have been charged 19.47 Euro's. The second bill from 23rd July to 26th August, again shows 0 kwh and the charge is 23.16 Euro's. We only have a studio, and on our complex our meters are locked away somewhere. Can anyone enlighten me on these charges please.

    Seems high for standing charge. Just my opinion. Maybe it is. Has it suddenly been hiked up?
