Christmas Day singers on the beach in Tenerife

Last year we finaly realised our dream of spending christmas away from the cold
we walked along the beach on christmas morning and hubby made me to take pictures of him in his christmas jumper so he could send it to all his friends..
    getting to the point ..
There was a large group of people having a picnic and singing christmas songs by the port all dressed up in christmas outfits.....
Does anyone know which group it was ..was it a church group..or from a local pub ?
    can anyone join in?

That would be the swallows, people who stay the winter. They meet every Monday morning atvthe El Tejar bar at the apollo centre by the bus station in Los Cristianos, and you will be more than welcome to attend, the group join in lots of different activities, just turn up and say hello, they wont bite (well not all of them)

We remember seeing these folks. It was our first Christmas away as well. Wasn't it hot! We didn't know what to expect and certainly wasn't expecting everything to be open. Our kids aged 9 & 7 said as a joke why don't we have a burger king for Christmas dinner on the beach! We shocked them and did! Anyway getting back to your point apparently all the x-pats meet up every year weather permitting. I got some great video footage.

We're back in six weeks for 8 nights. We love the place.
